Rosemary Golcher did her studies at the Universidad de Costa Rica where she finished her B.A. and her Licenciatura en Artes Plásticas, specializing in painting. Both degrees were obtained with honours. Upon graduating, Rosemary started a job in Raúl Aguilar´s art restoration business, “Museum.” Since then she combines restoration of works of art with art creation. Rosemary has enriched her knowledge by taking such diverse courses as the stained-glass course with Aldo Canale and an extensive engraving workshop with artist Marcia Salas. Moreover, she has attended restoration courses both in Costa Rica and La Habana, Cuba, at the Centro Nacional de Conservación y Museología, as well as in Florence, Italy, at the Instituto de Arte y Restauración, Spinelli. Rosemary has participated in a variety of expositions, including painting, engraving, digital photography and drawing, in Costa Rica, the United States, Chile, Spain, Germany, Poland and Mexico. In 1996 she obtained the Mention of Honour in the VI Biennial Pfizer Homage to Costa Rican Water-Colour. She has her art study in her residence. |
